My basic rate for research is £25 per hour.
The number of hours for the commission will be agreed with the client prior to any work being undertaken and estimates can be given on request.
I do have a minimum charge of 2 hours ie £50. A deposit will be requested from any new client.
If travel must be undertaken to other locations outwith Edinburgh, this may necessitate further expenses. I will inform clients before I proceed with this, however.
If copies of certificates or other documents are required, these will be charged separately. (At this moment, it is not possible to print off certificates at Scotlandspeople Centre due to changes made during Covid restrictions.)
The time taken for the commission will include time for research, time for report writing and time to compile a basic family tree.

Please note that if paying by Paypal, an additional 5% will be added to any fee, to cover commissions that are charged.
